Calling young LGBT people!
10/03/10 12:00
Last December we were awarded
grant funding for the choir by the BBC Choral Ambition as part of
their Performing Arts Fund which is going toward internal training
for the choir.
The remit of our Lottery Funded grant last year was to allow us to increase our profile in the LGBT community through its funding of open access events and workshops and while we always want more people to hear us sing, we also want more people to get involved in singing with us. So, in that light we are hosting a free workshop at the Hanbury Ballroom (83 St George’s Road) on Saturday the 20th of March 2010 from 1pm to 4pm.
To add to the fun, Lorraine Bowen will be assisting with the proceedings in her own inimitable way plus there’s rumours of tea and biscuits all-in.
So, please come along - we look forward to meeting you.

Pop goes the Rainbow
10/03/10 11:00

In what could hardly be a bigger contrast from our performance of ‘Choral Propaganda’ for 2009’s Brighton Festival Fringe with its Socialist anthems and Suffragette marching songs, this year we will be performing pop! There will be some Beatles, a little American West coast, a little Kylie and of course in true Rainbow Chorus style, a few surprises in our box too. We wouldn’t want you to think that we’re getting predictable ...
We plan to have some music beforehand and with luck the event will be Sign Interpreted but these are not confirmed as yet so just check back here closer to the time for the most up to date information.
So, buy your tickets now and start searching your wardrobe for your fancy frocks and come and enjoy a fun Festival night out with us. Come to both nights if you’re really keen!
Our entry can be found on the Fringe web site, in the Fringe Brochure and tickets are already available either online or from the Brighton Dome Booking Office. They will also be available from us in the near future and on the door on the night.
We're going on another Gay Outing!

Last year
we were invited to
perform at the beautiful Charleston Farmhouse and obviously we did
something right because we’ve been asked back again. It’s a
beautiful setting and it will be a pleasure to return and we hope
to see you there. And, as if the house, gardens and us were still
not enough to convince you, then perhaps some of their gorgeous
fairy cakes will ...

Don't forget that this page
supports an RSS feed - what that means is that we always call you
instead of you having to remember to call us! Can't be bad eh? So,
details of how to do this can be found at the bottom left of this
page (Latest News). It's really not hard to do and after that
you'll have all the news sent automatically, though don't let that
stop you from calling into the site anyway to see what new pictures
and other information has been added.
